Sigmafine Libraries

Databases can be based upon Libraries. For Sigmafine models, these are the available Libraries:

Sigmafine - Creates the Sigmafine Element templates with the default units-of-measure that are standard in North America.

Sigmafine SI - Creates the Sigmafine Element templates with the default units-of-measure that are the SI standard units.

It is strongly recommended that you use one of the Sigmafine Libraries when creating a Sigmafine database. However, each Sigmafine Analysis and Data Reference has documented prerequisites and can be used independently of the recommended Library template.

Both Sigmafine database Libraries create Element templates and tables that are needed in the Sigmafine Data References (DR):

  • SF_Component Table - Used to store common component s and their properties.
  • SF_Cost Center
  • SF_EnergyBalance
  • SF_Material Table – Used to store common materials and their properties.
  • SF_Steel Data – Used in calculating Tank Shell expansion factors in the Sigmafine DR.
  • SF_VCF Section 1 and SF_VCF Section 3 – Tables used for calculation of VCF factor in the Sigmafine DR.

In addition, an Element is created automatically that holds some database wide standards; this Element is called "SF_GlobalFactors".
